Is It Time To Worry?
Training camp is less than four weeks away, and the Pacers still haven't signed Danny Granger to an extension or gotten rid of Jamaal Tinsley.

The Lakers Need More Gas
Maybe it’s Pau’s blood. Whatever it is, something happens when he switches his NBA jersey for a national one. It somehow evokes an emotion and a confidence that an NBA paycheck doesn’t seem to be to able to ignite.

There are still over two months until the NBA regular season kicks off and I am freefalling into boredom. In an attempt to raise my spirits about the weeks ahead before the Bucks first game, I have put together a list of things Milwaukee fans can attempt to get involved in to pass the time.
Enjoy…or bore yourself with Shawn Kemp rumors!
The Brew Crew
I can’t remember the last time the Brewers were this much in the thick of things, this late into the season. Don’t get me wrong - I don’t think the Brewers have a very realistic chance of winning the NL wildcard – but they sure are keeping my attention.
The Brewers have been hovering around the .500 mark for weeks. Ricky Weeks? According to Hall of Fame journalist Peter Gammons, the Brewers have two of the top eleven prospects in the majors. Weeks has been stunning with his bat and his glove work is improving. (Did you see that miraculous no-look, behind the back throw to J.J. Hardy on Monday?) Hardy has been a dynamite fielder and seems to be gaining confidence at the plate. Then there is Corey Hart who has made a name for himself in his first month since being called up. Prince Fielder is so heralded that the he received a standing ovation at the game I was at on Wednesday against the Florida Marlins. Sure, Prince struck out swinging, but he brought an enthusiasm to the stadium that I have never been around. He has even prompted major rumors that the crew wants to move Lyle Overbay this summer.
The Brewers are currently in the middle of a 2 game home stand and I encourage you to check out a game. You can’t get a good seat pretty much anywhere inside Miller Park and you might be surprised how much fun you’ll have.
The Wild Card
The Brewers are a long shot to win it, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be exciting to follow. Waking up every morning to find the Yankees in a dogfight with the Indians and A’s is intriguing. The NL is a complete mess and five teams have a legitimate shot at getting it.
The Pack
Preseason is dreadful but the regular season is almost here!
While we are stuck in this tedious period, check out how Aaron Rodgers is developing and if Jim Bates is actually turning around our no-named defense.
Fantasy Football
It is addicting and can take over your life, but it sure is fun when you win! It makes Sunday’s and Monday’s fly by and you will be contemplating all week who to start and who to bench. You even might get a fantasy P.H.D by week 17 when your players have experienced every injury imaginable.
College Football
Find out if Barry Alvarez can shock the world in his final season with the Badgers. Check out Miami/Florida, Charlie Weiss at Notre Dame, Ty Willingham back in the Pac-10 and Steve Spurrier back in the SEC.
If all else fails, we can do what we have been doing: emailing Garry Howard of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel with our complaints and Larry Harris with our questions and compliments.
…Or listen to one of the most addicting but true basketball music videos of all time.
Until next time, GO BUCKS!
